Now in its fifth year, the World of Dogs area is bigger and better than ever. With loads for you to watch, or have a go at with your dogs, we guarantee you will not want to leave this area!
Busy all day under the cheerful oversight of our own inimitable Kev Bradley, the World of Dogs Display arena features a variety of dog-centred displays – click here for more details
Twenty classes for dogs of any breed, size or age. From Junior handlers through to prettiest bitch, waggiest tail and the infamous fancy dress class, there is something for every dog.
Classes cost £1.50 to enter (bookings taken all day). Judging starts at 1.30pm. Our aim is to put the FUN back into dog shows. We do not take ourselves seriously at all, so don’t worry if your dog doesn’t either!
Lure Crazy are back at Hampshire this year alongside the World of Dogs area with lurcher showing and racing, hurdling and long jump.
Come and watch these amazing dogs as they effortlessly jump twenty feet or more in the long jump, or race at full speed. Addictive to watch, and if you have a lurcher yourself, come and have a go.
Showing takes place in the afternoons in a separate ring – click here for details.
Another have-go-opportunity for the family dog: the Scurry Bandits are back with their selection of multi scurries. These include straight and blind retrieves. Get the fastest time on the clock and you could win a prize! With championships at the Sandringham Show later this season, this is popular both to participate in and to watch.

Terrier racing will also be taking place twice daily in the world of dogs area, run by our own Living Heritage team. This will be fast and furious and open to all terrier breeds.
Full terrier show in the afternoons starting at 1pm
Minor Breeds Tents
We have a variety of minor breeds, from Cesky terriers, through Australian terriers, Otterhounds, Chesapeake retrievers, huskies, Imaal Terriers and Lancashire heelers to name but a few. Come and meet some of these lesser known breeds; make a new friend and ask their expert and enthusiastic handlers any questions you might have.
The Burne Bloodhounds, Oakley Foot Beagles and Westerby Bassets will be with us around the World of Dogs arena, demonstrating how they work together as a pack. This is a working hunt, and they go out regularly following the trail of a ‘runner’ (a human being who sets out about forty minutes ahead). The hounds will follow the runner’s scent over many miles until eventually he is caught, and probably licked all over!
Come and hear more. You may even get the opportunity to run…
Your dog will want you to do some shopping around the World of Dogs area where we have ever treat for the well deserving pampered pooch, as well as a few for their owners!
